Advice on Mobile Providors

Postby pmb00cs » Fri Oct 23, 2009 1:53 pm

Currently I am with t-mobile, but there service is becoming increasingly unreliable. It has now reached the point that despite being in contract untill January I am going to ask for my PAC code before the end of this weekend with an Eye to getting a new service started before the end of next week.

So who can you good people advise?

Coverage isn't the issue, I live in an area with pretty good all round coverage, my issue is network reliability.

I have only been with two Orange and they where OK. I have been with Vodafone for about 5 years and never had any problems with them.

I've been with T-Mobile for about 12 years or more (back in their One-2-One days) never had any problem with them, on the odd occasion I've had to contact their CS dept they couldn't do enough to help me,

I know it's not what you asked but I had to mention it...

Not good, but as you say it's members of staff and not T-Mobile as a company that is trading in the Data, unless of course T-Mobile are or were aware of this and using staff as a scapegoat (conspiracy theory)

I have just signed up with Orange cos reviews reckoned they were the best for what I wanted and the areas I frequent.... had the phone a week and feel totally cheated  reception is pants (non exhistant at work) and I can't get my flippin emails set up on it  I can send emails from it but cant receive them  tried customer services and they 'are currently experiencing problems' .... they flippin will be once I get hold of them

Have been with T Mobile for the last 8 years with no probs, only moved due to poor reception in my house, wish I'd stayed with them now

I'm with T-mobile and have been for 12 years or more, the only issue I have is with coverage at our local university hospital, absolutely zero coverage once inside the building, hopefully they'll improve that someday by installing a cell mast in or nearby the site.

I use orange and have since i forst got a phone
their customer service is pants and to be honest the only reason i stay with them is apathy
my preference would be voda because all coverage is naff where i live but voda
do those femtocell things that look like a router and plug into the boradband so
you effectively have a personal cellsite in your home

interestingly i bet you get more exposure from your own phone rather than the mast and because the mast is near the phone should lower its power so on balance you might actually benefit from being nearer
